Memory Foam Folding Guest Bed Mattress - MEDIUM Review
#Memory Foam Folding Guest Bed Mattress - MEDIUM Best Review# I needed a compact, easily stored, sleeping solution for the times when my husband gets a cold or allergies and snores me out of the room! This tri-fold mattress fits the bill. It is made of two layers of memory foam and is very comfortable even when placed directly on a hardwood floor. It is nice and thick and conforms to your body. I am an average sized adult and the smallest width was plenty comfortable. It also has a removable, machine-washable cotton cover.I ordered this item directly from the manufacturer, Absolute Comfort. They fulfilled my order very promptly and shipping was free. This item was also much less expensive than similar or identical folding foam mattresses advertised by other web-based vendors.
Great for saving space - Darren L -
We were recently without our furniture and bed after a cross country move. We bought two of the small-sized foam mattresses as temporary beds and ended up using them side-by-side on top of hardwood floors for 2 weeks. They are very comfortable, we slept very well. I was looking for an alternative to the air mattress because I I didn't want to worry about getting leaks and didn't want the hassle of having to re-inflate every couple of days.
memory foam bed needs to be re-designed - Virginia Lenz -
We just purchased a twin-sized memory foam folding guest bed for an adult, and are disappointed. We had a similar one years ago that was super-comfortable and folded out flat. This one has a small hump which is apparently supposed to replace a real pillow, but just got in the way, forcing our guests (two tried it; both gave a thumbs-down) to slump down below it, with feet hanging over the end. And they are both fairly short. The other major issue is that the foam is way too hard, feels comparable to sleeping on the floor, which might be more comfortable.
Since it is such a bulky, large item, shipping this back is more trouble than it's worth, so we're stuck with a bed that cost us nearly 0, and just had to sink an additional amount into a soft foam egg-shell form to help soften it.
All in all, I'd say that the designers need to go back to the drawing board and work on these two issues: 1) The bed should fold out completely flat
2)The foam should be softer. We like firm mattresses, but I don't know how this bed is an improvement over the floor.
